Deflated, yet elated, Exhausted, yet invigorated, Disappointed, but proud. I had done it; I had completed my first UCI race! And that was that. 125km of cobbles, crashes, and carnage.
Don’t look back, keep pushing on!
Wow this felt good, the sun on my back, the effort of the climb, the sweeping descent, this was awesome.
The Long and the Short of it …
I had been competitive and I had learnt so much; learnt about racing with the very best but also learnt about myself, dealing with the ups and down, the triumphs, trials and tribulations of bike racing
